How to make Avocado seed powder

Wash avocado seeds with warm water.

Leave them to dry for about one week.

Using a grater, carefully grate the seeds.

Within minutes the shredded avocado seed will oxidize. (Changing colour from white into an earth red.)

Spread the shredded seed onto a dehydrator mesh and give it another 15 min to air out.

Using a food processor, process the shredded seed now into a fine powder.

    I will try this one! I have some questions though. First, how much do you add to a smoothie, a tablespoon? How long can you keep it for? Should it be stored in the fridge or freezer? For a mask what could you mix with- mashed avocado or coconut oil?

    Hi Lee,
    Yes 1 tablespoon is enough for a one person size smoothie.
    I use 1/2 avocado with some lemon and 1 tablespoon of avocado seed powder for a facial mask.
