DRY BRUSHING

More than twenty years ago I got my first skin dry brush. Little did I know then, of how beneficial dry brushing is to keep your skin in timeless beautiful shape. The skin, body’s largest organ doesn’t need to be stressed and over stimulated with soaps, shower gels, creams and oils in order to shine and glow. I in fact hardly even use oils. In addition to full body coffee scrubs and EPSON salt scrubs I add only occasionally a little bit of sesame or lavender oil to my skin. I recommend brushing in the morning rather than nighttime. Brushing has an incredible boosting effect and may keep you awake if performed before your nights sleep. Start at your feet and brush upward towards the heart. The chest area is where the lymph system drains. Similarly, when you start on your arms, begin at the hands and work upward. Use firm, small strokes upwards, or work in a circular motion. Brushing/ Exfoliating helps to remove dead skin cells on the skins surface.
Important to rinse with cold water to prevent redness and swelling. Then have a warm shower to open pores and help to remove dirt . After you washed as usual, finish with a cold rinse, to help the pores close. Your skin will look naturally beautiful and feel smooth and rejuvenated.
